The US Department of Commerce (USDOC) has launched second sunset reviews on anti-dumping (AD) and countervailing duties (CVD) on carbon and certain alloy steel wire rod imports from China. Also, the US International Trade Commission (USITC) will conduct a second sunset review investigating potential injury to the domestic industry if the existing AD and CVD duties are revoked.

Interested parties must register with the USDOC within 10 days of the announcement and submit responses to the USITC by June 2, 2025, with comments on the adequacy of responses due by July 9, 2025.

The five-year reviews will determine if the removal of the current duties would lead to continued or renewed material injury.
