TMK, the largest steel pipe makers for energy sectors in Russia announced that its shipments of steel pipes in the first half of this year totaled 2.105 million tons, falling by 2.8% year on year, caused by sluggish demand for large diameter pipes due to the completion of some major projects and the delay of some new main pipeline construction projects.

In the first half of this year, the firm’s shipments of oil country tubular good (OCTG) rose by 13.9% to 892,000 tons; that of large diameter pipe decreased substantially by 43.4%.

TMK expected the continuous high demand for its key products, especially the OCTG and line pipes.
