Tata Steel announced that they may consider changing the Titanium plant from Tirunelveli district in Tamil Nadu to other states, if the land issue is not solved by the state government.

Tata Steel has budget of Rs50 crore to acquire about 10,000 acres land, which is belong to 8,929 individuals.

The company said that they would pay a reasonable price. But if the land price is increased at unreasonable level, they would not compromise.

Tata Steel had decided Tamil Nadu to set up a Titanium plant few years ago, but the land issue is tied with other political factors to result in endless disputes.
