Yieh United Steel Corp. (Yusco), a leading stainless steel manufacturer in Taiwan, announced its domestic stainless steel flat product prices for April this afternoon (March 28). In line with market expectations, the price of 304 stainless steel was largely hiked by NT$4,000/ton, while 403 increased by NT$500/ton. The surcharge of 316L remained unchanged.

Yusco said that upstream raw material costs, including nickel pig iron and ferrochrome, have continued to rise. Additionally, electricity prices have been climbing, and the depreciation of the local currency has further pushed up production costs for steel mills. Considering overall market conditions and cost factors, it has decided to make such a price adjustment for April.
