Reportedly, due to the shortage supply of the scrap, Taiwan's current rebar market seems better than that in the last few weeks.

Recently, some of Taiwan's major rebar distributors have raised their rebar prices to NT$18,500 to NT$18,600/ton (US$603~US$606/ton).

It is known that the rebar prices in southern Taiwan’s market was NT$18,500 to NT$18,600/ton (US$603~US$606/ton); however, some mills only accept small quantity orders with the price of NT$18,500/ton (US$603/ton).

It’s predicted that the rebar price would raise by NT$200~NT$300/ton (US$7~US$10/ton) to reach NT$18,600~NT$18,700/ton (US$606~US$610/ton) in Taiwan domestic market in next week since the scrap price has kept raising in global steel market.
