Taiwan’s stainless steel wire rods have export growth but import decline in Mar

According to statistics, Taiwan’s stainless steel wire rod imports dropped to 486 tons in March after hitting a 16-month high in February. Despite the import decline, exports rose by 11.1% to 1,455 tons.

In the first quarter, imports surged by 54.3% year on year to 2,054 tons but at lower import prices, while exports increased by 15.1% year on year to 4,457 tons with a modest price increase.

In March, both import and export prices climbed. The trend in the first quarter showed strong export momentum with rising volume and value, contrasting with weakening import prices despite higher volume.
