Chung Hung Steel Corporation (CHSC), a Taiwan-based carbon steel producer under China Steel Corporation (CSC), announced its new prices of domestic and export sales for September yesterday (August 19).

According to the price announcement, the domestic price for hot-rolled steel, cold-rolled steel, and galvanized steel was raised by NT$500/ton, respectively. The export prices for the September-November delivery were hiked by US$0-20/ton depending on product types and regions, and the actual quotation is based on the local market.

CHSC said that the price adjustment this time not only reflected the production costs but also considering downstream buyers’ profits.
