According to the data, the galvanized steel market scale in Southeast Asia was predicted to grow with a compound annual growth rate of 8.5% from 2019, reaching US$17.5 billion in 2025.

The data showed that the growth of the global galvanized steel market was attributed to the growing infrastructure investment, strong GDP growth and a rise in steel consumption.

In addition, Southeast Asia got further support from the growing automotive sector in the region and opportunities from integrating the regional economies.

However, the less utility of steel production capacity in the region and steel dumping from China to the region would offset some of the growth.
