Recently, the production of crude steel in South Korea has been greatly increased with the big increase in the sales of long products.

According to the South Korean Iron and Steel Association statistics showed, this year January- May, South Korea's domestic crude steel production reached 28.788 million tons, increased by 2.9% to 27.966 million tons compared with the same period last year.

In January- May of this year, South Korea's long products sales increased by 9% to 9.6 million tons compared with the same period of last year; carbon steel sales increased by 9.5% to 7.19 million tons compared with the same period of last year; special steel sales increased 9.5% to 2.41 million tons compared with the same period of last year.
