Russian steel pipe producer, ChelPipe Group, announced that it has begun production of stainless steel seamless pipes for the liquefied natural gas (LNG) project. The pipe production could be completed using existing equipment without additional investment.

The company could produce 300,000 tons of stainless steel pipes per year, which was not only expected to fully meet domestic demand, but also replace similar imported products.

The first batch of steel pipes (6-12mm in diameter, 1mm in thickness, and 45-80m in length) have been shipped to the Russian companies Cryogenmash and JSW ZiO-Podolsk.
