It is reported that Posco could acquire Australian iron ore and steel manufacturer Arrium company, taking into account its Whyalla Finex ironmaking technology in iron and steel plant, Posco has yet to make a decision at present.

Recently, the South Australian Government officials are visiting Posco, said Posco may consider in Whyalla plant to use Finex technology for long products, in order to increase its annual crude steel capacity of 1.2 million tons, an increase of 1 time year on year.
