Novelis reports increased sales and net income for FY25

16 May 2025 15:49 reported by Joy Liu

A A A
Novelis Inc., a Georgia-based industrial aluminum company, announced its net sales in the fiscal year 2025 increased by 6% year on year to US$17.1 billion, driven by higher average aluminum prices and a 2% increase in total flat rolled product shipments to 3.757 million tons. Record high beverage packaging and increased aerospace products shipments offset declines in specialty and automotive products shipments.

Net income attributable to the company’s common shareholder grew by 14% year on year to US$683 million. However, adjusted EBITDA decreased by 4% year on year to US$1.8 billion due to higher aluminum scrap prices, unfavorable product mix, and increased operating costs, partially offset by higher total shipments and prices.

In the fourth quarter of the fiscal year 2025, net sales increased by 13% year on year to US$4.6 billion, while net income attributable to its common shareholder surged by 77% year on year to US$294 million, despite an 8% drop in adjusted EBITDA.
