Mexico’s rebar & wire rod output grows in Mar m-o-m

According to preliminary statistics from the National Institute of Statistics and Geography of Mexico (INEGI), Mexico’s rebar production in March totaled approximately 266,000 tons, up by 3.2% compared to the previous month while slightly falling by 0.9% year on year.

Meanwhile, Mexico’s wire rod production increased 5% month on month to about 144,000 tons, though it was 1.1% lower than March 2024.

In the first quarter of this year, Mexico’s rebar output amounted to around 803,000 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 1.2%. Wire rod output reached roughly 420,000 tons, down by 7.9% year on year.
