Nippon Steel & Sumikin Stainless Steel Corporation (NSSC), the largest stainless producer in Japan has successfully developed new dual phase stainless steel plate NSSC2120, which can be an alternate for SUS304.

The NSSC2120 is able to weld on high heat input and its welding efficiency is more than double from the conventional dual phase stainless steel plates. Also, the strength doubled from SUS304.

NSSC expected that the new material will be supplied to sectors such as construction structures, impounded water tanks, foods, chemical tanks and pressure tanks or welded H-beams.

In addition, the company has target to sell 15,000 tons per year in 2~3 years later.
