Overall hot-rolled coil (HRC) inventory in the Chinese market this week was about 416,000 tons, an increase of 3,000 tons from last week and an increase of 38,500 tons from the same period last year. According to the social stock in major cities, HRC volume this week reached 4.54 million tons, increasing by 102,000 tons from the previous week and 915,000 tons year on year.

At present, steel mills' margins are improving, and six blast furnaces have resumed production during consecutive holidays. The HRC price rose slightly this week, with recent futures prices breaking through a two-month high. In addition, the Chinese authorities continue to boost the real estate industry and prevent risk issues. The implementation of overall policy funds is relatively conservative, and the price trend of HRC is expected to remain stable in the future.
