According to the report, the United States Department of Commerce (USDOC) decided to delay the deadline of import tariff on imports of automobiles and components until June 29th. The USDOC has received more than 2,100 comments at present, and most people were worried that the tariff would cause negative effects of economy in the US.

The US’ General Motors (GM) explained the domestic and international of automobile market gradually reduced the market share due to the US import tariffs, which would lead to the employment crisis in the US. In addition, the tariff measure also increased the cost of production that caused the GM lost the competitive advantage in the market.

Some market participants expressed that other automobile manufacturers and organizations were also concerned tariffs would damage the domestic industry and global economy.
