According to Destatis, the index of producer prices for German industrial products increased by 5.6% y-o-y in June while this figure in May was 0.1%. To be specific, metal price rose 8.9% and it’s pretty sure that the increasing metal price contributes a lot to the rise in prices for intermediate goods in Germany.

German rolled steel prices increased by 7.3% in June particularly. Among this, the unbalanced relation between demand and supply may be a main reason that the metal prices are expected to be remained at this level.
