Taiwan's domestic coating steel market to face the highly pressure in selling owing to the slow market demand and the raising import galvanized steel coil quantity. However, there have the shortage supply in some certain thin gauge GI products, it helps the market price to hold in those certain size GI items.

Currently, the market price for 1.0 mm CGI strip coil is under than NT$20,000/MT in Northern Taiwan and the price for 1.5 mm / 2.0 mm GI coils is about NT$19,500/MT.

For the certain thin gauge GI coil, its market price could still stay at NT$21,000~22,000/MT. The serious oversupply situation caused most of market participants to believe that the market price may keep declining in next January.
