Taiwan's Jenn An Steel 's cold roll rolling mill was hit by a fire on 8th of January, the cold rolled coil production is expected to lose 400,000 tons.

The repair time needs 6 months, the company expected. Steel enterprises are looking to import from China for cheaper material in order to cover the shortage by the chance. The spot price of cold rolled coil and galvanized steel have been hiked around NT$500 to 1,000/ton this morning caused by this accident.
