Container shipping rates have risen for three consecutive weeks, and the Shanghai Containerized Freight Index (SCFI) returned to the 1,000-point mark for the first time in 10 weeks, marking the most significant weekly increase in two years. The increase of SCFI index further expanded from 3.59% in the previous week to 8.02%.

People in the industry believe that the market's seasonal shipments and urgent orders mainly drive this wave. In addition, WTO predicts that global trade volume growth will rebound to 3.2% next year as global GDP picks up (2.4% this year, 2.6% next year). It will drive the growth of trade and transportation demand and, simultaneously, help the container freight rate to rebound.
