It is report that China’s Hunan Valin Lianyuan Steel, founded in 2005 and operated as a subsidiary of Hunan Valin Steel Co. Ltd., base plate supplier of Valin ArcelorMittal Automotive Steel Company Limited (VAMA), has made it in public that it successfully produced more than 80000 tons of base plate in January to September, in which 300 tons of them has met the demand of European Standard for auto steel.

Valin ArcelorMittal Automotive Steel Co (VAMA), the joint venture between ArcelorMittal and Hunan Valin Iron & Steel Co., will produce high-strength automotive steels that currently have to be imported, for the Chinese market.

Located in the economic zone of Loudi, Hunan Province, and built on a greenfield site, this is one of the major investment projects jointly approved by China’s National Development and Reform Commission and the Ministry of Commerce. The total investment is around US$832 million.
