It’s reported that China’s export prices of cold rolled coils (CRC) to South Korea have increased this week.

The export prices for CRC for November shipments have increased by US$10~US$20/ton to US$610~US$620/ton CFR.

However, it’s said that the transaction volumes were few as the South Korean buyers delayed to place orders.

Meanwhile, China is the largest CRC supplier to South Korea this year. The country’s CRC shipments to South Korea surged by 32% year on year to hit 218,900 tons in the first eight months of this year, according to statistics released by the Korea Iron and Steel Association (KOSA).

Nevertheless, China’s average export prices of CRC to South Korea dropped by 7% year on year to US$763/ton CFR.

However, China’s CRC exports to South Korea decreased by 14% month on month to 26,800 tons in August.
