According to the official statistic from the Chinese government, the total profit margin of the Chinese automotive industry in the first half of 2020 was around RMB 251 billion, decreased by 12.8% year on year, and the margin rate had been decreased by 20.7% year on year.

The main reason for this dramatically decreased was caused by the Covid-19 epidemic from the beginning of this year, which caused the sales of automobiles in China this February and March almost stock on the bottom.

However, although the total performance was pessimistic, the profit margin rate in May and June both increased to 6.0% and 11.5% year on year, which showed the situation was resuming gradually.
