Baosteel Group yesterday (21) announced that the shutting down one of its 17 years old of the 2500 cubic meter stainless steel blast furnaces operation, after the closure of Baosteel's stainless steel production will be reduced by 2.5 million tons for the year.

Baosteel Group said the 400-series products will be more market dominance in the future. For closed stainless steel blast furnace in Baosteel, Taiwan industry thinks that it should be subject to serious losses last year, heavy selling pressure on excess capacity and environmental problems. Baosteel has to adjust product mix, steel production supply should be positive benefits.
