AZZ Inc., a leading manufacturer of galvanized products based in the US, announced that it has reached an agreement to acquire all the assets of Steel Creek Galvanizing Company, LLC, a private hot-dip galvanizing company located in Blacksburg, South Carolina.

AZZ will operate the new plant as AZZ Galvanizing-South Carolina as a result of this transaction. AZZ will further expand AZZ's ability to support customers in the Southeast region of the US. The new galvanizing facility will increase AZZ’s network to 40 sites in North America.

The terms of the transaction weren’t disclosed. AZZ expected that this acquisition will increase earnings in the first year of operation.
