According to an official notice on May 19, 2025, the Australian Anti-Dumping Commission has initiated a sunset review of anti-dumping (AD) duties on hot-rolled rods in coils imported from China, based on an application filed by InfraBuild (Newcastle) Pty Ltd on April 17 this year. The review period is from April 1, 2024 to March 31, 2025.

The products involved are hot-rolled rods in coils of steel, whether or not containing alloys, under 14mm in cross-section, classified under HS codes 7213.91.00.44 and 7227.90.90.02. The subject goods cover all grades and alloys, but exclude hot-rolled deformed steel reinforcing bar in coil form (rebar) and stainless steel coils.

The current AD measures will expire on April 22, 2026. This AD order was initially implemented on April 22, 2016, and was extended in 2021.
