It is reported that ArcelorMittal has applied the permit for building two new plants with multi-billion-dollar in Indonesia, said the head of Indonesia's National Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM).

The two new plants will be located in Banten in the western part of Java and one in the East Java town of Pasuruan.

ArcelorMittal has offered to buy 49 percent shares in PT Krakatau Steel which is a state-run steel producer.
