ANDRITZ, an Austrian equipment company, has secured an order from China’s Tangsteel High Strength Automotive Strip Co., Ltd. to upgrade and modernize its No. 5 Continuous Galvanizing Line (TAN-CGL5) at the plant in Tangshan, Hebei Province.

Scheduled for commissioning in the fourth quarter of this year, this modernization will expand the line's production range and enable it to handle higher steel grades for automotive applications. The TAN-CGL5, a key high-strength automotive steel production line, was originally commissioned in 2017 and previously upgraded by ANDRITZ in 2021.

This latest modernization is expected to raise Tangsteel's production capacity and operational efficiency, meeting growing domestic and international demand for cold-rolled strips. The order reinforces ANDRITZ's leadership in the metals industry and its ongoing partnership with Tangsteel.
