On October 29, 2021, the Korea Trade Commission (KTC) announced to initiate an anti-dumping (AD) investigation on seamless copper pipes and tubes originating in China and Vietnam based on an application filed by domestic enterprises Nungwon Metal and Boo Kwang Metal on September 28, 2021.

The period of dumping fact investigation was from January 1, 2021 to June 30, 2021, and the domestic industrial damage investigation was from January 1, 2018 to June 30, 2021.

The produces involved are classified under HS code 7411.10.0000.

The companies subject to this investigation included China’s Golden Dragon Precise Copper Tube (Xinxiang) Co., Ltd., Ningbo Jintian Copper Tube Co., Ltd., Shanghai Hailiang Copper Co., Ltd., Vietnam’s Jintian Copper Industrial (Vietnam) Company Limited., and Hailiang (Vietnam) Copper Manufacturing Co., Ltd.

The preliminary ruling was scheduled to be made within three months from the date of this publication, except for another extension of a maximum of 2 months.
