Firebird Metals, a West Australian company focused on the exploration and development of mineral properties, has received A$3.5 million in a committed fund from sophisticated and professional investors.

The fund would be used to speed up the development of the Oakover manganese project in Western Australia.

After the shareholder approves, Firebird Metals will issue 17.5 million new shares at A$0.2 each, with one free attaching option for every two shares issued. Options will be exercisable at A$0.3 each and expire two years from the issuing date.
