Malaysian Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI) announced on April 12, 2021 that it decided to launch the first anti-dumping (AD) sunset review investigation on cold-rolled coils originating in or imported from China, South Korea, and Vietnam, based on the application filed by the Malaysian domestic producer Mycron Steel CRC Sdn Bhd on March 15, 2021.

The subject products are cold-rolled coils of alloy and non-alloy steel with a thickness of 0.20mm to 2.60mm and a width of 700mm to 1,300mm.

The products involve are classified under HS codes and ASEAN Harmonized Tariff Nomenclature (AHTN) 7209.15.00 00, 7209.16.10 00, 7209.16.90 00, 7209.17.10 00, 7209.17.90 00, 7209.18.99 00, 7225.50.10 00, and 7225.50.90 00.

The final determination will be made within 180 days from the date of initiation.
