Quintain Steel remains wire rod prices unchanged for June

Quintain Steel, one of the major wire rod producers in Taiwan decided to keep its June list prices flat on May 28th.
After the price announcement, the company’s June list prices of Al-killed wire rod are at NT$26,500/ton; that of rimmed wire rod is at NT$26,000/ton and that of killed wire rod is at NT$25,000/ton.
Industry sources indicated that Quintain Steel’s unchanged price policy for June delivery met the market participants’ forecasts.
However, the company will hike the prices for finished steel wire by NT$300/ton in order to reflect higher electricity prices.
