Japan’s stainless steel output totaled 300,839 tons in June, increasing by 0.7 percent compared to it was 298,582 tons last month, in which 106,790 tons of Cr stainless steel, 18,275 tons of Cr-Mn stainless steel, 10,919 tons of Si-Mn stainless steel, 137,146 tons of Ni-Cr stainless steel, 27,709 tons of Ni-Cr-Mn stainless steel and 10,916 tons of special stainless steel.

The output of Ni-stainless steel in June higher than May’s, in which Ni-Cr stainless steel up by 6.3 percent compared to last month while the output of Cr-Mn and Ni-Cr-Mn stainless steel dropped.

By the end of June, total stocks of stainless steel at Japanese mills are 160,732 tons, dropping by 0.9 percent compared to May, and 4,382 tons special stainless steel, increasing by 15.7 percent compared to previous month.
