The substitution to lower nickel alloys is developed in global stainless steel markets.

Because of high nickel costs, stainless steel producers keep in finding alternative material to lower nickel alloys. It makes the profit in alloy substitution to remain high.

Many stainless steel producers have already informed their customers for substitution materials to offset the rising cost of nickel.

Taiwan’s Yusco has promoted by using non-nickel stainless or low nickel products around 25 percent of 80,000 tons per month output. South Korea’s Posco has also announced to produce a nickel free stainless steel into the current production line.
