Yusco, the largest stainless steel producer in Taiwan, is going to reduce its production of 300 series flat rolled stainless steel products.

Meanwhile, the comapny will increase the output of 400 series and 200 series materials.

Preliminarily, Yusco intends to reduce its output of 300 series stainless steel to 50 percent from 60 percent of its total production. As a result, the output of 300 series will be around 63,000 to 66,000 tons per month.

The company also plans to increase 200 series and 400 series stainless steel output to around 40 percent of total output. Yusco said the output cut will be gradually processed in future months.

Yusco and Tang Eng also announced to cut their list prices for stainless steel by NT$28,000/ton in July, in response to the current low market sentiment.
