Turkey's March scrap imports down by 21.9% m-o-m
According to statistics released by the Turkish Statistical Institute, Turkey imported 1.68 million tons of scrap in March, falling by 21.9% from a month earlier while increasing by 13.3% year on year.
In March, the country’s average imports of scrap were at US$450/ton, remaining flat from the previous month while decreasing by US$20/ton year on year.
In the first quarter of this year, the country’s scrap imports totaled 5.34 million tons, rising by 11.9% in comparison of that in the same period of a year ago.
