Tisco cuts stainless steel output again in July

13 Aug 2008 16:36 reported by Shelley

A A A
Tisco has further decreased its stainless steel output in July as the demand remains low.

China’s major stainless mills produced some 390,000 tons of stainless products, in which CR products made up 42 percent of total monthly output and 400 series product, 40 percent. Among them, CR product output was around 124,000 tons.

China’s domestic stainless steel manufactures raised the HR product output in July, including Tisco, with its 400 production accounting for almost 50 percent of total production. This is mainly a step to avoid the risk from fluctuating nickel prices.
