China's stainless steel production to be cut

10 Jun 2008 13:11 reported by Stella Lin

Last week, China’s stainless steel market price showed a little drop, mainly caused by weakening nickel influence.

According to the mills ' conference, they decided to reduce 40 percent output in June. With the output deduction and with ferro-chrome cost increasing next year; this means that stainless steel mills' price will also be adjusted in the third quarter.

But the stainless steel market experienced weak demand which clearly keep price down.
