China to up stainless steel prices in June

1 Jun 2007 11:23 reported by Lisa Yao

A A A
Chinese steel mills are going to raise 304 stainless steel CR slightly by RMB500/ton in June due to decreasing nickel price and low market demand, when the increasing range was RMB1,500/ton in May.

So far stainless steel market prices in China have huge difference from May list prices released by steel mills.

For an example, 304 2B with 2.0mm, its list price was RMB45,900/ton in May, but its current market price is at about RMB4,3000/ton.

Therefore, many distributors still keep conservative on the future market.
