The stainless steel price has been soaring continuously while the nickel price on the LME has been increasingly rising.
Last week, Taiwan's largest stainless steelmaker Yusco and Tang Eng have announced to raise their domestic stainless for 300 series HR and CR sheets and coils by NT$10,000, a NT$13,000/mt increase for 316L, and billet by NT$12,000 to NT$20,000/ton.
Yusco also raised May export prices of stainless hot rolled and cold rolled sheet and coil by US$300-350/ton.
European buying and nickel price will be the main factors to affect the stainless steel prices in the globe, said steel experts.
