In recent years, with the vigorous development of electric vehicles and new energy industries, the demand for nickel, the key raw material, has increased dramatically. As an important nickel ore resource country in the world, Indonesia's nickel industry development has attracted international attention.

Indonesia’s Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) has approved 207 nickel work plans and budget (RKAB) for production through 2025. At the same time, 85 RKABs have been approved but are not allowed to go into production for the time being.

ESDM emphasized that it will continue to increase its support for the nickel industry and promote the continued upward development of the nickel industry. This move symbolizes a major step forward for Indonesia in promoting the development of the nickel industry.
