It is reportedly that Bolivia's new steelmaker, the Mutún Steel Complex, has already produced its first corrugated steel bars for the construction and wire rod sectors.

Jorge Alvarado, the president of Mutún, commented that they have already started the start-up, doing the tests of the different plants with and without load; they are already outputting the final product, such as the corrugated bars and the wire rod.

He added that currently, the production is on a small scale and part of the test period, so it will not yet be delivered to the national market. When it enters the operation stage, it will be produced in large quantities, with 5,000 tons in the first month as a start, the president specified.
