SCZONE& Suez Steel partner to develop dry bulk handling facilities at Adabiya port with $120 million investment

The Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZONE) has reached an agreement with Adabiya-based steel company Suez Steel to develop dry bulk handling facilities at the Port of Adabiya.

The project involved the operation and maintenance of marine berths 4 and 5, which are 650 meters long and 17 meters deep, with a planned investment of US$120 million.

The first phase was expected to have an annual dry bulk handling of 5 million tons, planned to increase to 10 million tons within five years.

Suez Steel will be responsible for the storage and handling of dry bulk materials and focus on products related to the steel industry.

Port modernization is underway, and the first phase will extend the dock lengths to 1,200 meters to increase port capacity and efficiency.
