Russia’s steel & aluminum export value to Turkey climbs in Oct m-o-m

Data from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat) showed that Russia’s iron, steel, and aluminum exports to Turkey surged in October, reaching the highest level since May.

In October, Russia’s steel export value to Turkey increased to US$218.6 million, 4% higher than that in September. Steel products sales grew by 37% month on month to US$32.4 million.

In terms of aluminum, the export value to Turkey reached US$82.2 million, an increase of 25% compared to the previous month, hitting a new high since May.

In October, Russia was Turkey’s second-largest supplier of steel and aluminum, behind China and India respectively.
