According to data from the Vietnam Steel Association (VSA), from January to October 2024, Vietnam's finished steel production was 24.473 million tons, an increase of 8.5% year-on-year.

During this period, the sales volume of finished steel was 24.47 million tons, an increase of 15.6% year-on-year. Among them, the sales volume of cold-rolled coils increased the most, nearly 42%. The increase in galvanized and color-coated plates was 35.1%, the increase in construction steel was 15.7%, and the increase in steel pipes was 6.4%.

In terms of exports, the export volume of finished steel was 7.12 million tons, an increase of 6.2% year-on-year. Due to the competitive pressure of China's superior resources, the export volume of hot-rolled coils fell by 26.3% year-on-year. However, as Vietnamese steel companies continue to make progress in product structure optimization and market layout, the export of other categories, such as cold-rolled coils and galvanized and color-coated plates, has shown a positive trend.
