Pakistan's scrap imports decrease in Jun m-o-m, y-o-y

In June, Pakistan imported about 217,000 tons of scrap, marking a 14.4% decrease from May and a 6.6% decrease from the same period last year. The value of these imports was US$98.39 million, down by 13.2% from the previous month but up by 62.4% year on year.

In contrast, Pakistan's steel imports for June totaled around 260,000 tons, a 6.9% decline compared to last year but a 20.3% increase from May. The value of steel imports stood at US$174.91 million, a 15.5% decrease year-on-year but a 6.6% rise month-on-month.
