China’s steel exports might be impacted by India’s withdrawal of export duties

According to the report from China Iron and Steel Association (CISA), in October, because of low demand from foreign countries and the decrease in the advantage of prices, China’s steel exports in the second half year went down.

In November, because China’s domestic steel prices went up and RMB appreciated, the prices of hot-rolled flat-rolled products increased, and the competitiveness decreased. The steel exports in the short term will continue going down.

Besides that, India’s authorities withdraw export duties on iron ore and parts of steel products, which might impact China’s steel exports next year.
