As a result of an investigation initiated on June 14, 2021, Japan’s Ministry of Finance decided to impose anti-dumping (AD) duties on imports of hot-dip galvanized steel wire originating in China (excluding regions of Hong Kong and Macao) and South Korea, at duty rates of 26.5%-41.7% for China and 9.8%-24.5% for South Korea, with a validity of five years.

The products involved are wire of iron, non-alloy steel, or other alloy steel plated or coated with zinc, classified under HS codes 7217.20 and 7229.90.
