Mexico extends AD duties on Russia's hot-rolled steel products

29 Nov 2022 13:44 reported by Benson Yang

A A A
Mexico's Secretariat of Economy (SE) accepted complaints from Altos Hornos de México (Ahmsa) and Ternium that the removal of tariffs will negatively affect domestic production, so it decided to extend the anti-dumping (AD) duties on hot-rolled steel originating in Russia for another five years, starting from June 8, 2021.

The products involved are classified under HS codes 7208.10.03, 7208.25.02, 7208.37.01, and 7225.30.07.

For the first time on June 7, 1996, a tariff of 29.30% was imposed on all Russian companies exporting hot-rolled steel with a width greater than or equal to 600 mm and a thickness of 4.75-10 mm.
