WBMS: Global nickel supply has shortage of 48,000 tons in Jan-Jul 2022

According to a report released by the World Bureau of Metal Statistics (WBMS), the global nickel market had a shortage of 48,000 tons in the first seven months of this year, compared to the short supply of 150,500 tons in 2021.

In the January-July period, the global refined nickel production totaled around 1.6 million tons, and the global demand was 1.65 million tons.

As of the end of July, LME nickel inventories decreased by 41,700 tons year on year.
